atouchofbri asked: Hey doll! I'm looking for some hairstyles to use for my hair its a little bit longer than a twa. Do you know of any sites or good styles I could use?

Ugh I’m the worst with this question! I don’t even know how to style my own hair! I would recommend you tubers like iknowlee and SimplYounique  they have quite a few styling vids! Ive save a few onto a go to playlist for styling my hair (which i never actually use) and would recommend you making one as well. If you like me you watch vids in place of tv so to save yourself the time just save the ones you like to various playlists.

hausofjabaut asked: Hello, first off I LOVE YOUR BLOG! secondly, I was wondering if your able to tell me what products I can use to make my curly hair stay moisturized. It is currently all dried out from the Herbal Essence products I use. :-[ Are there any products for African American hair?

Thanks so much for your support! I was having the same issue and was using the same line of products call myself trying to be more practical with costs of products that i use. I would switch to all natural products. Research the Curly Girl Method. Im currently experimenting with a modified version. Affordable all natural lines are Shea Moisture and Curls. Those are the two i’ve used and loved in the past. Also peep the video i just uploaded on how to moisturize natural hair as well as this video

Anonymous asked: So my hair is pretty long, whenever I pull it out it seems major long but it's always matted down or super curly at the roots and won't show it's full beauty. Tips on what I should do? I've been growing natural for about a year and 4 months now.

Yes the age old challenge of shrinkage. Im still trying to work out my own issues with shrinkage. I’ve tried “banding” which is where you use like ouchless schrunchis and wrap them around the length of your hair or twists/braids for a designated amount of time to elongate your hair. Or you can use the blow dry tension method where you gently tug at the ends and aim the blow dryer at your roots (be cautious using direct heat). You can take your braid/twist out and gather all the hair in a ponytail at the top of your hair ( pineapple method) or for me since my hair is still too short and shrunken i do a low pony at the nape of my neck and fluff out into my desired shape in the morning similar to this video. You can braid sections overnight and as the week goes on at the end your hair should be pretty stretched. For more long term effect you can also stretch your hair by doing a flexi rod set or curl formers and then on stretched hair do a braid/twist out. Hope this helps!!!
